  • Welcome campers each morning and assist with daily routines, including check-in/out, lunch breaks, and field trips
  • Support the lead instructor with preparing and cleaning up the art studio
  • Supervise and assist children during art activities
  • Help plan and host an end-of-week art show featuring camper creations
  • Bring energy, creativity, and a positive attitude every day
  • Step in where needed to keep camp running smoothly

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Teachers, recent grads or students pursuing a degree in Education, Art Education, or a related field
  • Great with kids and confident in a classroom or camp setting
  • Organized, dependable, and ready to take initiative
  • Experience with art materials is a plus, but not required
  • Passionate about creativity, education, and making learning fun

Whether you're looking to gain experience or stay connected to teaching over the summer, this is a fantastic way to do meaningful work in a creative setting.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM: The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art provides experiences that inspire human connection and transformation through art depicting the peoples, landscapes, and history of the American West, and wildlife of the world. More than 400 works of art including sculpture, paintings, and jewelry are on display in the museum’s 26,000 square feet of gallery space. The museum engages the community through programs and educational opportunities that bring our history to life and amplify voices that are not often at the forefront of mainstream Western art. The James Museum opened in April 2018 in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, a community with a thriving arts scene, located on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
